NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING & 60 DAY COMMENT PERIOD ON THE USE OF CITY OF DALHART ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TYPE B FUNDS FOR A BUSINESS INCENTIVE PROGRAM: DALLAM-HARTLEY COUNTIES HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION aka “PROJECT SILVER LANTERN”
Notice is hereby given that the Dalhart Economic Development Corporation (the “Corporation”), pursuant to Section 505.158 of the Texas Local Government Code, will conduct a sixty (60) day public comment period commencing on June 2, 2026, and ending on August 1, 2026, regarding the proposed expenditure of sales and use tax proceeds for the purpose of undertaking and funding a Performance Agreement with the Dallam-Hartley Counties Healthcare Foundation for the development and construction of a nursing home project (the “Project”), in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.00.
The proposed Project is intended to promote and support new and expanded development and constitutes a “Project” as authorized under Chapter 505 of the Texas Local Government Code applicable to Type B economic development corporations.
A public hearing on the proposed Project will be held by the Dalhart Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., during its Regularly Scheduled meeting at Dalhart City Hall, 205 Rock Island Avenue, Dalhart, Texas 79022.
This notice is published in accordance with Sections 505.159 and 505.160 of the Texas Local Government Code and shall serve as the required notice for a Type B project.
Any expenditure on funds for the Project shall be subject to the approval of both the Dalhart Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors and the Dalhart City Council, as required by law.
Following the public hearing and consideration of all public comments received, the Board of Directors of the Dalhart Economic Development Corporation may consider and act on the Project at the same meeting.
