Dalhart Elementary celebrates Dia de los Muertos
Event includes color, dance, heart

Bright marigolds, fluttering papel picado, and the hum of lively music filled the playground behind Dalhart Elementary last week as families came together to celebrate Día de los Muertos, a cherished tradition honoring loved ones who have passed. For many in the town, it was a joyful introduction; for others, a chance to reconnect with roots.

Wolves knock off Bushland, play for district title tomorrow
Dalhart quarterback Hunter Trusler runs with the ball against the Bushland Falcons. Trusler scored three touchdowns on runs and also had an interception return for a touchdown as the Wolves beat the Falcons for the first time in 12 years. The Golden Wolves play Shallowater in Memorial Stadium tomorrow night for the district championship. Details of the game, and a couple of more photos, are inside this edition of the Dalhart Texan. Texline’s Samantha Young, Dalhart’s Victoria Terrazas shine at State
Victoria Terrazas, a senior for the Dalhart Lady Wolves, placed 11th in Class 3A at the State Cross Country Championships in Round Rock on October 11, which automatically earned her a place on the Cross Country Coaches Association of Texas All-State team.
