ArchivesNo opponents in city electionsBY Nixie Sanderson All incumbents for upcoming elections for the Dalhart City Council have filed for office unopposed. Rusty Hancock in Ward 1, Brian Walton in Ward 2, Bryan Brewer in Ward 3, Sherri Haschke in Ward 4 and Philip Hass, Mayor, have all refiled. The final day to sign up was Friday at 5 p.m. No other candidates declared intentions to run by that deadline. The election for city offices was set for May 4. However, according to information from Dalhart city secretary Francis Childers, and elections will not be held since there are no opponents.
