ArchivesDalhart FFA members receive Lone Star Degree
BY BILL KELLY The Dalhart High School FFA chapter sent ten members to the 89th annual Texas FFA Convention in Corpus Christi last week, July 10-14. Ben Bezner, Kallie Childress, Payton Galloway, Corban Lehman, Jaden Massey, Jake Massey, Erin Nutter, Parker Przilas, Emma Schartz, and Nataleigh Valles represented Dalhart at the state convention. Six Dalhart FFA members received their Lone Star FFA Degree at the convention. The Lone Star Degree is the highest degree given by the Texas FFA. It recognizes FFA members who have received the Chapter degree, been active FFA members for at least two years, completed at least four semesters of agricultural science at or above the ninth grade level, maintained a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program, demonstrated their leadership skills, and have shown a commitment to the FFA through involvement at the chapter level and above.
