ArchivesDalhart receives over $370,000 in tax revenueDalhart receives over $370,000 in tax revenue(AUSTIN) — Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced recently that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.4 billion in local sales tax allocations for May, 7.7 percent more than in May 2025. These allocations are based on sales made in March by businesses that report tax monthly and sales made in January, February and March by quarterly filers. The City of Dalhart will receive $371,030.30. This is a 16.23% increase over the amount received last year for the same time period, which was $319,215.42. The total for the year is $1,471,957.41, an increase of 6.64%. The City of Texline will receive $7,134.66, which is an increase of 33.18% over the amount received last year for the same time period. The total for the year is $37,482.63, an increase of 31.71%. The City of Channing will receive $2,395.15 according to the reports, which is an increase of 44.16% over the amount received last year for the same time period. The total for the year is $14,758.36, an increase of 168.54% from last year.
