Dalhart basketball coaches honored by TABC

Dalhart head girls basketball coach Anthony Catherall, shown here talking to his team during the season, was named as one of the finalists for the Dean Weese Outstanding Coach of the Year for Class 3A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. The Dean Weese award is presented to one girls basketball coach from each of the six different classifications. Dalhart High was the only school in the state of Texas to have both their boys and girls head basketball coaches either win an Outstanding Coach of the Year Award or be named as a finalist for the award in 2026.
