Comptroller distributes $1.1 billion in monthly sales tax

City of Dalhart receives over $245,000

(AUSTIN) — Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for March, 2.1 percent more than in March 2025. 

These allocations are based on sales made in January by businesses that report tax monthly.

The City of Dalhart will receive $247,573.06. This is a 1.87% increase over the amount received last year for the same time period, which was $243,022.31. The total for the year is $852,663.26, an increase of 0.66%. 

The City of Texline will receive $10,281.74, which is an increase of 71.24% over the amount received last year for the same time period. The total for the year is $25,165.17, an increase of 38.8%. 

The City of Channing will receive $4,511.70 according to the reports, which is an increase of 443.19% over the amount received last year for the same time period. The total for the year is $8,060.36, an increase of 155.01% from last year.
