Valentine’s Day “Candlelight & Cupid” show at La Rita Theatre

The La Rita Theatre will have a special show for Valentine’s Day, next Saturday February 14. It was originally billed as dinner and a show, and although the dinner has now been sold out, tickets are still available for the show by Bryce Howard and Friends, which is called “Candlelight & Cupid.”

The La Rita is describing the event this way: “Celebrate love under the glow of candlelight where Cupid works his magic. Bring your sweetheart, your friends, or your own romantic spirit and join us for an unforgettable evening with live music, delicious dining, and moments meant to be shared.”

Bryce Howard is a singer/songwriter from Farwell who is known for heartfelt performances and a wide-ranging set list. While attending Texas Tech, he began playing local venues while sharpening his craft, and later stepped into the spotlight through singer/songwriter competitions. His shows lend acoustic interpretations of classic and modern favorites, drawing from country, rock, soul, funk, and today’s alternative music. His performance is further enhanced by strong vocals and an effortless connection with his audience.

Based in the Panhandle, Howard has been a familiar face at local restaurants and events in Dalhart since 2013. Outside of music, he and his family have owned and operated a local farm since 2010. Bryce Howard married Kalley in 2014, and together they are raising three children. His two older children have also been involved with the La Rita Performing Arts Theatre, thus making the arts a true family tradition.

Tickets for the show are $25 each, and are available at www.larita. org or at The Flying Pig at 323 Denrock Avenue. As previously mentioned, the dinner has already sold out, so these tickets are just for the show by Bryce Howard and Friends. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. on February 14 at the La Rita Theatre.
