Comptroller distributes $1.2 billion in monthly sales tax revenue

City of Dalhart receives over $270,000

(AUSTIN) — Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced recently that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for September, 5.3 percent more than in September 2024. 

These allocations are based on sales made in July by businesses that report tax monthly.

The City of Dalhart will receive $277,280.20. This is a 3.59% increase over the amount received last year for the same time period, which was $267,661.33. The total for the year is $2,530,193.33, which is a decrease of 1.52% from the previous year. 

The City of Texline will receive $5,485.90, which is a decrease of 6.81% over the amount received last year for the same time period. Texline’s total for the year is $53,575.72, an increase of 2.63% from the previous year. 

The City of Channing will receive $4,486.79 according to the reports, which is a huge increase of 239.81% over the amount received last year for the same time period, which was $1,320.37. Channing’s total for the year is now $22,200.09, an increase of 154.76% from the previous year.
