Friends of NRA fundraising events are essential to supporting thousands of community services related to firearm education, hunter safety, wildlife conservation, range improvements, youth marksmanship, law enforcement, and other shooting sports interests. Working with Field Representatives, committee members and volunteers organize events in their communities, complete with auctions, special drawings, and fellowship. Much of the merchandise at the events is donated or provided at reduced cost by hundreds of participating vendors.

The upcoming banquet in the area will feature the exciting 2025 Friends of NRA Standard Package firearms and exclusive items, offering attendees a chance to win or bid on high-quality gear while supporting the future of the shooting sports.

Friends of NRA is a grassroots fundraising program that fosters community involvement to organize and, with help from NRA field staff, plan local events for firearms enthusiasts and Second Amendment supporters. All net proceeds from Friends of NRA events are allocated to The NRA Foundation. At a Friends of NRA event, you will meet fire chiefs, engineers, shopkeepers, police officers, teachers, and many more mainstream citizens working together to support an important cause in preserving our rights and heritage.

Since its inception in 1992, Friends of NRA has held over 26,000 events, reached over 4.8 million attendees and raised more than $1.1 billion gross to support The NRA Foundation’s 501(c) (3) charitable mission. Established in 1990, The NRA Foundation has awarded $492 million through more than 63,000 grants, making it America’s leading charitable organization in support of the shooting sports.

Half of the net funds raised by each Friends of NRA event will be spent in the state in which it was held. The other half supports qualifying national-level programs like the Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program, Women On Target, and other educational and safety services. State Fund Committees made up of volunteers review grant applications from local organizations and make recommendations to The NRA Foundation on how the money might best be used in their areas.
