
Final results of 2025 XIT rodeo
John Bland named All-Around Cowboy

The final results of the 2025 XIT PRCA Rodeo have been released. John Bland, who competed in both team roping and steer roping, won the award for All-Around Cowboy, earning a total of $4,343 in the two events.
In bareback riding, Bradlee Miller scored 88 points for first place, winning $2,817. Zach Hibler, placed second with 85.5 points, earning $2,160; Kash Martin scored 84 points for third place and $1,596; Brayze Schill placed fourth with 83.5 points, earning $1,033. Cole Hollen placed fifth with 81 points to make $657; Chad Rutherford scored 80 points and earned $470 in sixth place; Jacob Lees took seventh place with 79.5 points to earn $376, and Owen Brouillette placed eight with 77 points, earning $282.
Sam Shofner won first place in steer wrestling with a time of 3.7 seconds to earn $1,967. Jacob Daniell placed second at 4.1 seconds to make $1,711; Colin Fox was just a tenth of a second back in third at 4.2 seconds to earn $1,454. Paul Melvin placed fourth at 4.4 seconds to make $1,198; Bray Armes of Gruver placed fifth with a time of 4.9 seconds, earning $941; Tanner Brunner took sixth place at 5.0 seconds to earn $684. There was a three-way tie for seventh place, with Garrett Oates, Cole Pugh and Talon Roseland each recording a time of 5.1 seconds to $200 apiece.
In team roping, Jet Toberer and Catcher Gasperson won first place with a time of 5.4 seconds, earning $2,802 each. Peyton Walters and Tyson Thompson placed second at 6.3 seconds to make $2,437 each; McCray Profili and McCoy Profili took third place at 6.5 seconds, earning $2,071 each; J7 Bland and John E Bland placed fourth at 6.9 seconds to make $1,706 each; Conley Kleinhans and Kyler Kanady took fifth place at 7.1 seconds to make $1,340 each. There was a three-way tie for sixth place, with the teams of Bridger Ketcham and Cutter Pake Thomison, Kolby Krieger and Michael Fortenberry, and Jacob Walters and Jeryn Ellerd each recording a time of 7.2 seconds, earning $609 each.
Jacobs Crawley scored 79 points on Hampton Pro Rodeo’s Tom Cat to win first place in saddle bronc riding to earn $3,274. There was a tie for second place, with Linden Raaen and Tom Webster each scoring 78 points to make $2,183 each. Chris Williams scored 76 points to place fourth and earn $1,200. There were ties for both fifth place and seventh place. Clint Franks and Brady Irvine each scored 75 points to tie for fifth and earn $655 each, and 7. Joe Macqueen and Josue Molina each scored 73 points to tie for seventh and make $382 each.
In tie-down roping, Joseph Gernentz won first place with a time of 9.4 seconds to earn $2,681. Kallen Johnson placed second at 9.6 seconds to make $2,331; Klay Kirkes placed third at 10.1 seconds to make $1,982, and Ross Tucker placed fourth at 10.3 seconds to earn $1,632. Richard Newton and Clint Singleton each recorded a time of 10.7 seconds to tie for fifth place and earn $1,107 each. Ryan Thibodeaux placed seventh at 11.3 seconds to earn $583, and Triston Lewis placed eighth at 11.6 seconds to make $233.
In the first round of steer roping, Will Eddleman won first place at 9.8 seconds to make $1,654. There was a tie for second as Thomas Smith and Slade Wood each recorded a time of 10.4 seconds, earning $1,226 each. John E Bland placed fourth at 10.5 seconds to make $798; Reo Lohse placed fifth at 11.7 seconds to make $513; and there was a tie between Billy Good and Stratton Lopez for sixth place, with each recording a time of 12.8 seconds to make $143 each.
Cole Patterson won first place in the second round with a time of 8.7 seconds, earning $1,654. Jess Tierney placed second at 10.2 seconds to make $1,369; Dustin Bassett placed third at 10.6 seconds to make $1,084; Chet Herren placed fourth at 11.0 seconds to make $798; Blake Deckard placed fifth at 11.1 seconds, earning $513, and Ryan Rochlitz placed sixth at 11.2 seconds to make $285.
Cole Patterson also won first place in the third round with a time of 9.1 seconds, earning $1,654. Doc Shoemaker D.V.M. placed second at 9.2 seconds to earn $1,369; Riley O’Rourke placed third at 9.6 seconds to make $1,084; Dustin Bassett placed fourth at 9.8 seconds to earn $798; Thomas Smith took fifth place at 10.0 seconds to make $513, and Tyler Waters placed sixth at 10.4 seconds, earning $285.
In the steer roping average, Slade Wood won first place with 35.5 seconds on three head, earning $2,481. There was a tie for second place between Taylor Santos and John E Bland, with each recording 38.7 seconds to earn $1,839 each. Billy Good placed fourth at 40.0 seconds to make $1,198; Chet Herren placed fifth at 44.0 seconds to make $770, and Dustin Bassett placed sixth at 47.5 seconds to earn $428.
Only three bull riders were able to stay on the full eight seconds to make a qualifying ride in that event. Sticky Gleaves scored 89 points on Hampton Pro Rodeo’s Heartbreaker to win first place, earning $4,406. Kristopher Baker scored 85.5 points to place second and make $3,687, and Linden Raaen placed third with 85 points to earn $3,471. (All totals include ground money.)
The results of the women’s barrel racing were also released on the XIT Rodeo & Reunion Facebook page. Brittany Pierson won first place with a time of 16.9 seconds to make $949 on the very last run of final night of the rodeo. Mary Smith placed second with a time of 17.7 seconds to make $785. Sabrina Devers of Perryton placed third with a time of 17.22 seconds to make $622, and Julie Marsh was just 0.02 seconds behind in fourth place at 17.24 seconds, earning $458. Berkley Waters placed fifth at 17.28 seconds to make $294, and Lacey Thorne placed sixth at 17.33 seconds to earn $164. There was a difference of only 0.43 seconds separating all six of the racers.
The total payoff at this year’s rodeo was $102,109, and the stock contractor was Hampton Pro Rodeo, with sub-contractor Pete Carr Pro Rodeo.
Next year’s XIT Rodeo and Reunion will be held Thursday August 6 through Saturday August 8, 2026.
