Boy Scouts Troop 46 ready to alarm Dalhart

The Boys are back – the Boy Scouts, that is, and they’re back to their good deeds! Boy Scout Troop 46 reorganized this past year, and on March 29 joined with the Red Cross at the grand opening of the Dalhart Emergency Center to coordinate on a joint project to distribute and install smoke alarms in Dalhart homes.

Over the next several weeks, members of Troop 46 and Grace United Methodist Church will visit the homes of those who signed up during the event. The goal is to install one alarm in each bedroom in each house.

This project is free to the public. If you missed the sign-up and need smoke alarms in your home, please email pastormichaelrowe@ gmail.com to request your name be added to the list.

Any boys in grades six through 12 who are interested in joining the Boy Scouts is encouraged to come to a troop meeting, 6 p.m. each Wednesday at 513 Denrock Avenue.
