This is 10.2 percent more than in March 2024, the agency reported. These allocations are based on sales made in January by businesses that report tax monthly. The City of Dalhart will receive $243,022.31. This is a 3.06% decrease over the amount received last year for the same time period, which was $250,708.43. The total for the year is $847,029.14, which is a decrease of 1.65% from the previous year. The City of Texline will receive $6,004.12, which is an increase of 20.11% over the amount received last year for the same time period. Texline’s total for the year is $18,130.25, an increase of 5.35% from the previous year. The City of Channing will receive $830.58 according to the reports, which is an increase of 15.09% over the amount received last year for the same time period. Channing’s total for the year is $3,160.79, an increase of 26.05% from the previous year. As previously reported, three new businesses have opened in Channing in recent weeks. Hartley is not incorporated, and the businesses there only collect the state’s portion of sales tax, so there are no additional tax funds to be refunded.
