Dallam Hartley Counties Healthcare Foundation

The Dallam Hartley Counties Healthcare Foundation is thrilled to announce our goal of $50,000 for The Panhandle Gives campaign, which reflects the community's dedication to improving healthcare services and supporting local families.

Of the funds raised, $20,000 will be allocated to establish a Safe Haven Baby Box, a vital initiative designed to provide a safe and confidential option for parents in crisis to safely, securely and anonymously surrender their infant. This innovative program aims to ensure that every child is given a chance at life in a secure environment, helping to prevent infant abandonment and offering peace of mind to parents in crisis.

The remaining $30,000 will support the Dr. Cunningham Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to local students pursuing careers in healthcare. By investing in the education of future healthcare professionals, the Foundation aims to bolster the local workforce, ensuring that Dallam and Hartley Counties has access to quality rural healthcare for years to come. We are proud that 33% of scholarship recipients have or continue to work in the Hospital District.

This fundraising success highlights the power of community collaboration and the shared commitment to creating a healthier future for everyone in the region. The Dallam Hartley Counties Healthcare Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to all the donors and supporters who make this achievement possible. Together, we are not only addressing immediate healthcare needs but also paving the way for a brighter, healthier future for our community.

Stay tuned for updates on the implementation of these vital initiatives and how they will positively impact the lives of families in the Panhandle.
