Comptroller distributes $1.1 billion in monthly sales tax revenue to local governments

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced recently that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for September, 3.4 percent more than in September 2022.

These allocations are based on sales made in July by businesses that report tax monthly.

The City of Dalhart will receive $279,156.81. This is a 3.74% increase over the amount received last year for the same time period, which was $269,081.18. Dalhart has received a total of $2,620,494.12 this year, which is an increase of 6.8% from last year’s total at this time of $2,453,569.63

ease of 12.59% over the amount received last year for the same time period. Texline has received a total of $48,299.14 this year, an increase of 3.59% from last year. The City of Channing will receive $1,097.15 according to the reports, which is an increase of 41.9% over the amount received last year for the same time period. Channing has received a total of $11,495.77 this year, a decrease of 43.34% from last year’s total at this time of $20,289.77, which was an unusually large amount.
