There will be a hat contest for women (wearing fancy hats to horse races is a longstanding tradition, especially for the Kentucky Derby.) There will be a Mexican dinner served that evening for $15. Those attending will watch the Kentucky Derby at the lodge, and then there will be 10 horse races at the lodge itself. and it will cost $25 to come in for those races. This event is hosted by the Dalhart Elks Sweetheart. It will be an entire night of fun for anyone who enjoys horse racing.
