There’s an app for that

The Dalhart Independent School District (DISD) hired a new technology director over the summer, Robert Sullivan. Sullivan and the technology staff at the DISD Central Office has spent the fall making a number of improvements to the district’s technology and to its network.

One of the improvements has been the creation of an app for phones, tablets and other mobile devices. The app is now available in the Google Play store for Android devices, and in the Apple Store for iPhones and iPads. To find the app, just enter “Dalhart ISD” in the search bar.

The Dalhart ISD app currently includes a news feed for both the district and for each individual campus. Each campus also has a number of different documents on the app, such as student handbooks, athletics schedules, federal report cards, etc. There is an events page for the entire district, and for each individual campus. Staff members are also listed. There will eventually be other options added to the app as well.

Another one of the improvements will be the premier of a completely new website on January 1, 2023. Anyone wanting to see the district’s new website can go to on January 1, which will be the official launch date of the site. The website should be easier to navigate and will have a new look as well when compared to the old website.
