Beating the heat at dodge ball camp

Kids try to catch water balloons Tuesday afternoon during ‘Dodge Ball Camp’ at The Roc in Dalhart. About a dozen kids ages 10-14 participated in the Frank Phillips College Community Connect program camp led by Drew Stegall, where kids learned to throw, dodge, duck, dip and dive the ball with an emphasis on fun, teamwork and exercise. The water balloons were a way to stay cool in the 100-degree heat that has baked Dalhart over the past week. See more photos on Page 14.
