Dalhart RN Kiki Ralston honored as one of the “25 Panhandle Great Nurses”

Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District (DHCHD) RN Kiki Ralston was honored on November 4 at the annual Texas Nurses Association District 2 awards dinner in Amarillo. Ralston was accompanied by her family and several coworkers who wanted to be there as she was recognized. About 400 attendees from around the Panhandle joined the evening’s event of honoring the 25 Panhandle Great Nurses.

Ralston is currently the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Coon Memorial Hospital. She has educated herself, and worked her way up over 25 years from Pharmacy Tech, to Pharmacy Director, to Surgery Director, and now to CNO. Ralston earned her RN from Nursing Excelsior College in Albany, New York in 2014.

“It is our mission to recognize Registered Nurses for their caring, compassionate service in the Texas Panhandle.” Dr. Valerie Kiper, Co- Chair – Panhandle Great 25 Nurses said. “These are truly 25 phenomenal nurses.”
Previous RN honorees from the DHCHD have been Jamie Martin and Kristi Baca.

“Kiki has all the qualities to qualify for this recognition.” Assistant CEO Kacey Schniederjan said. “Leadership, service to the community, compassionate caregiver, and has made significant contributions to her team. Kiki truly is a team leader.
