DHCHD names Ashlee Garcia new Legacy Assisted Living Director

Dalhart, Texas – On Monday October 11, Ashlee Garcia stepped into the position as Director at Legacy Assisted Living, a 26- bed facility. Garcia has 13 years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and has worked for Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District (DHCHD) for her entire career. She is a well-rounded LVN with eight years of experience working on the floor at Coon Memorial Hospital in the ER and obstetrics.

Garcia has also worked as the discharge planner, a clinic nurse at Dalhart Family Medicine Clinic, in the nursing home, and most recently with Home Health at DHCHD. Garcia has a passion for working with the elderly, treating each patient as her own grandparent, and loves hearing their stories. “I’m excited to learn the administration side of Legacy Assisted Living and to continue to expand my knowledge in the field of geriatrics.” Garcia said.
