The Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce held their 2" Annual Farm to Table Dinner in downtown Dalhart on Denrock Avenue last Saturday, August 28. The dinner was held to celebrate farmers in the Dalhart area along with other local businesses.

Members of the board spent the early afternoon on Saturday setting up for the event. Denrock Avenue was blocked off for a couple of blocks, and tables were set up, although the wind attempted to interfere with the tablecloths during setup. A number of wooden posts were also used to string lights up and down the street.

The dinner began at 6 p.m. and lasted until 10 p.m. Tickets to the dinner were $50 each, or there were also table sponsorships available for $400. The table sponsorships included 10 tickets and recognition at the dinner.

The dinner was _ catered with food from local farms and businesses, and drinks were also provided by local businesses. Live music was provided by JW Lane and County Road X, and later in the evening many of the couples danced to the music

Three local businesses were the presenting sponsors for the dinner, including Full Circle Insurance, R&R Machine Works and Scott Power and Equipment. The local farms and businesses that provided the dinner and drinks included Moore Family Farms, Larsen Farms, Five Rivers, Hilmar Cheese Company, Just In Backyard BBQ & Catering, Double S Dairy, and Depot Discount Liquor.
