DHCHD’s Schneiderjan tours new West Texas A&M nursing program

Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District (DHCHD) Asst. CEO Kacey Schniederjan (center) toured West Texas A&M University’s new nursing program at their campus in downtown Amarillo on Au-gust 18 along with Dr. Dirk Nelson, Dean of the College of Health Sciences (left) and Dyke Rogers, former member of the WT Foundation Board of Directors and current Campaign Leadership Com-mittee Chair (right.) The DHCHD joined a collaborative effort several years ago to educate more RNs in the Panhandle that will likely remain in the Panhandle to work. The RN degree program is largely made possible through the funding of Baptist Foundation of Amarillo. The tour included nursing laboratories with authentic nursing units, high-definition manikins, smart classrooms, and testing center.
