Dalhart ISD hands out service awards

The Dalhart Independent School District held its annual service awards ceremony for teachers and staff on the final day of the 2020- 2021 school year, Friday, May 28. A number of teachers received awards for being with the district for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years, and five received rocking chairs as theyretired.

Fifteen teachers or staff members received coasters for five years of service at Dalhart ISD. They included Kathy Claborn, Amanda Gonzalez and Sam Sherber at Dalhart Elementary; Lacey Bolton, Angela Encinias, Jennifer Hernandez and Diane Thompson at Dalhart Intermediate; Shannon Friese, I.J. Hinojos, Lora Imler, Kourtney Schniederjan and Josh Bell at Dalhart Junior High; Debbie Dunham and Alicia Trujillo at Dalhart High and Chiz Bell at Central Office. Three staff members received pencil holders for 10 years of service. They were Kandace Burk and Janie Navarrete from Dalhart Elementary and Nicole Guidry from Dalhart High.

Nine staff members were given a pen and pencil set for 15 years at Dalhart ISD. They included Rebecca Quint at Dalhart Elementary and Nancy Craig, Natalie Garcia, Jennifer Read, Joey Read, Sandra Richmond, Wade Ritchey, Lida Trusler and Desa Wadsworth at Dalhart High School. Theresa Garza at Dalhart Intermediate and Melissa Ritchey at Dalhart High received clocks for 20 years of service. Five staff members were given silver platters for 25 years of service. Those staff members were Paula Bowen and Tammie Frische at Dalhart Elementary, and Paige Davis, Laura Portillo-Amaya and Kim Sorrels at Dalhart High School.
