Voters decide municipal, school elections

Voters in Dalhart have decided the outcome of the Dalhart City Council and Dalhart Independent School District board elections following Saturday’s vote, and newly elected officials were selected for both.

For mayor, Justin Moore received 473 votes (74 percent), while incumbent Clinton Hale received 166 votes (26 percent). Hale previously served as a councilman for Ward Two and as mayor pro-tem. He became mayor last year following the passing of Phillip Hass.
