The Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District (DHCHD) hosted a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Channing
on Thursday evening in the Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department’s mobile command unit. Another clinic
will be held in Texilne on Sunday, April 25 beginning at noon. The clinic will be located in the Texline
Community Center and vaccines will again be distributed until gone. There are currently no plans to host
a large Saturday vaccine clinic in Dalhart similar to those that have been held at the Rita Blanca Coliseum
earlier this year. The hospital district has announced plans to host a clinic at the High Country Community
Rural Health Clinic (HCCRHC), 320 E. Texas Boulevard, on April 23 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Those
seeking a vaccine are asked to make an appointment by calling HCCRHC at 806-249-8324, Dalhart Family
Medicine Clinic at 806-244-9259, or the COVID-19 call line at 806-244-9259. DHCHD provides updated
information regarding COVID-19 and vaccines on their website, www.dhchd.org. Pictured above, Jacque
Ahola, RN, administers a vaccine Thursday.
