ArchivesComptroller releases monthly sales tax allocationsBy Nixie Sanderson Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will distribute $762.5 million in local sales tax allocations this month. That’s down half a percent from March 2020. According to information released by the comptroller’s officer, Texas cities will receive $491.7 million, up 1.5 percent, transit systems will receive $164.4 million, counties will receive $44.8 million, and special purpose taxing district will receive $61.55 million.
