Hospital District Approves Budget

The Dallam-Hartley County Hospital District Board met on Thursday evening, July 28. A budget hearing was held at 7 p.m. with the board meeting following the hearing. The board voted to approve the budget.

Leroy Schaffner, CEO and administrator, gave his financial reports for June. The board approved the financials.
Schaffner’s CEO report included admissions to the hospital in June. There were a total of 23 admitted, 13 surgical procedures, eight newborns, 450 emergency room visits, 71 EMS runs, 19 admitted through the emergency department and 68 in home health and hospice.

The district, hospital, nursing home, Dalhart Family Medical Center and assisted living were discussed, with no action taken.
