The Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule from theEnvironment Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Army Corpsof Engineers has faced additional setbacks since it the U.S.sixth circuit court of appeals issued an order of stay October9. The most recent was the passage of legislation by the U.S.House of Representatives to repeal the rule.

“Today’s passage of this resolution is a critical step towardstopping what some believe to be the largest federal land grabin history. From the beginning, the process of developing thisrule was flawed by EPA ignoring input from stakeholders, andeven other agencies including the Army Corps of Engineers.America’s farmers and ranchers deserve to have a governmentthat will review and consider their thoughts,” Chairman K.Michael Conaway (R-Texas) said in a statement the sameday.
