Dalhart City Council will hold a regular meeting at Dalhart City Hall on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. The following business will be reviewed and considered: prayer, consent agenda, minutes of regular meeting held on July 13, 2010, regular agenda, consider awarding bids on painting of the prison water tower, consider adopting Resolution 2010-05, authorizing applying for a Community Development Block Grant to replace the Tanglewood Lift Station and committing to a local contribution of $55,460.00, quarterly investments report and comments from City Manager, Department Heads, and the Public, if any. The City of Dalhart will hold a Public Hearing at Dalhart City Hall on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 5:45 p.m. to take public comments on the submission of an application for a Community Development Grant of $275,000.00. The grant will be used to fund the replacement of the Tanglewood Lift Station for the Wastewater Department. |

The Pipeline Group’s annual “Public Education - Contractor Awareness Program” will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, Moore County Community Building, 1600 S. Maddox in Dumas. The program will be sponsored by a group of companies with a common goal of preventing accidents and damages to underground pipelines and utilities. A free dinner will be catered by Kim’s Ribs for all persons involved in excavation related activities in Dallam, Hartley, Moore, and Sherman counties. A Benefit Dance is to be held for Anita and the late Jason Wright on July 31, 2010 at the Texas Lone Star. The Benefit Dance will be from 9:00 p.m. till 1:00 a.m. featuring The Western Star Band. A Co-Ed Softball Tournament to benefit Jewel Puga, daughter of Jamie and Jordan Puga, will be held on July 31, 2010 in Dalhart. Concessions will be available. Several items will be raffled off throughout the day. For more information about participating in the tournament or to purchase raffle tickets, contact Linda at (806) 884-9045 or Danette at (806) 333-5325. All proceeds will go to the family for medical expenses. Kreed’s baby brother is on the way. Let’s get prepared for the big day! A come & go diaper shower honoring Ellie Hines will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. Hostesses for the event include Karen Howell, Terri Banks, Anne Beedle, Joni Atha, Kathryn Berg, and Mamie Hines. The Dalhart All Sports Booster Club Golf Tournament will be July 31st at 10:00 a.m. The Dalhart Country Club is the location. It will be a two person scramble with a fee per team.
