The XIT Museum will be hosting a craft class on Tuesday, July 20th. Participants will make rain sticks during a two hour period. This class will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and then repeated in the afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Classes will be held for six to twelve year olds. There will be no cost for museum association members; for non members there will be a charge. For more information or to sign up please come by the museum or call 244-5390. |

Dallam-Hartley Hospital District Board of Directors Meeting to be held Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room. The Red Hatters have a fun monthly activity scheduled for Thursday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m. First the group will play a round of disc golf at the course located next to the Rita Blanca Coliseum. The second activity is ice cream at I Scream Ice Cream Shop located right next door to the Loose Caboose, 301 Denrock Avenue. Everyone is invited and new members are always welcome. Whether you wear pink and red or purple and red, or just want to hang out with a fun group of ladies, there couldn’t be a better way than to play disc golf then enjoy an ice cream. |

On July 24, Dalhart will to have a Dairy Show for Holsteins and Jerseys. The show is open to any 4-H and FFA member from Dallam, Hartley, Sherman, Moore and Deafsmith Counties. The event includes 14 classes from Jr. calves to aged cows. As well as two showmanship classes, with awards and premiums for each class. Area dairies will work with the exhibitors by allowing them use of their cattle for this 2010 show. For more information contact Joe D. The Ranger’s play days will be cancelled on July 17 due to unforeseen circumstances. They are rescheduled for July 24. The books will open at 4:30 p.m. The XIT Rodeo and Reunion Board of Directors have announced that once again they will be offering several armature events including the Ranch Bronc Riding, Women’s’ Barrel Racing, and wild cow milking.
