Liberty Baptist Church welcomes “Paul’s Journey,” (formerly “The Relations Quartet”) to Dalhart to perform at Liberty Baptist on Sunday, July 11 during the 11:00 a.m. service. The group began their full time ministry 32 years ago as four young men who were all related. Over the years the faces have changed, but the mission remains the same; to continue the journey began by the Apostle Paul and pointing souls toward the ultimate gift of salvation. The regular meeting of the Hartley County Commissioners Court will be on July 12, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. in the Hartley County Courthouse in Channing. They will review and discuss the following agenda: current bills and financial reports, approve minutes of previous meeting, audience with Mrs. Doug Davis regarding road maintenance, set a policy on the use of herbicides and pesticides, set county road and bridge fees, discuss and approve health insurance renewal, discuss and approve TCDRS renewal, appoint election judges, budget workshop, reports and request from personnel, open forum. The Summer dates for the Exit Level TAKS retest have been set as follows: Tuesday, July 13- English, Wednesday, July 14- Math, Thursday, July 15- Science, Friday, July 16- Social Studies. Tutorials will be held on July 5 thru 9 and July 11. Tests and Tutorials will be held in the Dalhart High School Library beginning at 8:00 a.m. The Nonprofit Service Center of the Amarillo Area Foundation will present a workshop, Introduction to Nonprofit Fundraising, on Tuesday, July 13 in Dalhart from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Recreation Outreach Center (ROC) at First Baptist Church, 1000 E. 16th St. Katharyn Wiegand, Director of the Nonprofit Service Center and Patricia Ward, CFRE, Nonprofit Consultant, will facilitate the workshop. Space is limited to 40. The workshop will cover basics of nonprofit fundraising, challenges in rural fundraising, the Donor Bill of Rights and Code of Ethics, and creating a case for support to strengthen funding appeals.
