The Dalhart ISD once again will be a sponsor for the Summer Feeding Program. The school cafeteria will be serving free lunches starting June 7, 2010 and ending June 30, 2010. The meals will be served each week, Monday through Friday only. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The site for Summer Feeding is as follows: Dalhart Elementary School, 1401 Tennessee Blvd., Dalhart, Texas 79022. | 20:30 - 22:00 It’s summer – let’s celebrate Category : General Attention all junior high students Central United Methodist Church is sponsoring a Beginning of Summer Jr. High Dance for all area Incoming 5th – 8th Graders on Friday, June 11 from 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Junior High Tennis Courts. Cookies, chips and drinks will be provided. All students will be required to sign in and sign out. There will be drawings every 15 minutes for fun prizes! | 08:00 Guns and Personal Protection Training Day Category : General Hillside Christian Church, Dalhart Campus is hosting a fun and educational day for all men in the proper use of hand guns for personal protection. DPS Trooper Matt Howe will lead the class beginning on Saturday, June 12 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and will include a trip to the county gun range for practice time followed by lunch together at the church office located at 315 Rock Island Avenue, Dalhart. Bring your own handgun or call the office 249-1417, if you need to borrow a gun. The course is open to all men and high school boys, with an adult male sponsor. 09:30 - 12:00 Jo Bass at the Dalhart Area Fine Arts Association Category : General The Dalhart Area Fine Arts Association would like to extend an invitation to the Public, Saturday, June 12, at the XIT Museum starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending before 12 p.m. Our very own artist Jo Bass will be preparing the program for this month. Members worked in the flower beds before adjourning to a shady tree for the business meeting. Refreshments were served by Pat Forry and Barbara Dawkins. Plans were finalized for the up–coming Tour of Secret Gardens, to be held on June 12, at 9:30 a.m. Tickets may be purchased from any club member or at the Dalhart Senior Citizens Center. All proceeds will go to the Senior Center.
