Join the Way Out West (WOW) Relayers Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Meister Arena, Boise City, OK (1 mile West on Hwy 56, watch for sign) for a fun-filled afternoon dedicated to raising money to help fund finding a cure for cancer, while participating in or watching Team Roping. Books open at 1:00 p.m.; progressive after one; Head & Heel Buckles awarded. Drawings will be held throughout the day. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. If you would like to help out by working, donating any items and/or money, or in any other way, please con ... 14:00 - 16:00 Dalhart Rotary Club to host bicycle rodeo Category : General The Dalhart Rotary Club is planning to host a bicycle rodeo on Sunday, May 16th at the Junior High Auxiliary Gym on 16th Street from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. The Rotary Club would like to invite all parents to bring your children from ages 5 - 12 along with their bikes out on Sunday afternoon. There will be bike safety information, bike rodeo, free snacks, free helmet and more. The city police will be there to register you child’s bike, so if the bike is ever lost or stolen the police can help the bike find its way back to it’s owner, plus your child can register for a $100 Alco Gift Card that will be given away that afternoon. | 09:00 - 13:00 Annual wheat field day scheduled May 19 at Etter Category : General ETTER – The annual Wheat Field Day, sponsored by Texas AgriLife Research and Texas AgriLife Extension Service, will be held on May 19 at AgriLife Research’s North Plains Research Field north of Dumas near Etter. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by field tours at 9:30 a.m. A free lunch will include presentations by State Rep. David Swinford; Dr. Bill McCutchen, AgriLife Research associate director at College Station, on industry collaborations; and John Fenderson, who will outline Monsanto’s wheat platform.
