Dalhart Intermediate School will host a Scholastic Book Fair on February 1-5 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Book Fair will be held in room 105. The proceeds from this Book Fair will be used to improve the collection of the school library. On Tuesday, February 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a Family Night event will be held. Refreshments will be served. A gift certificate will be awarded to one DIS student in each grade attending the Family Night. The Book Fair will offer specially priced books and educational products, including new releases, award-winning titles, children’s classics, interactive software, ... |

Dalhart Intermediate School will host a Scholastic Book Fair on February 1-5 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Book Fair will be held in room 105. The proceeds from this Book Fair will be used to improve the collection of the school library. On Tuesday, February 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a Family Night event will be held. Coon Memorial Hospital will again be offering Childbirth Classes beginning February 2. There will be a Teenage Childbirth Class( for ages up to 19) offered from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2nd, Thursday, Feb,11th , Thursday, Feb. 18th and Tuesday, Feb 23. We will also be offering an Adult Childbirth Class (for ages 18 & up) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the same days. The first classes on Tuesday, February 2 will concentrate on Pregnancy & Pre labor issues; on Thursday, February 11, Labor & Delivery; on Thursday Feb 18, Postpartum and the final classes on Tuesday, February 23, Newborn Care. The classes will be held on the 2n ... ESL, English as a Second Language, for beginners and intermediate students will begin February 2 it was announced by Sylvia Renick, Community Connect coordinator. Beginning classes, led by Carolina Galdean, will meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings while intermediate classes, taught by Ilene Walton, will meet same days in the evening. Texline will have a community blood drive on Tuesday, February 2 from 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Texline Center, 100 S. 3rd. All blood types are currently needed. The need is real. There is no substitute for blood. It can only come from volunteer blood donors. Please support the patients of the High Plains Region. Give the gift of life. The Dallam Soil & Water Conservation District will hold their Local Work Group Meeting on February 2, at 3:00 p.m. at 622 W. 7th St., Dalhart. Information will be provided about the past years conservation programs and efforts will be made to identify resource concerns for the current year. All area producers are invited to attend. |

Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and will consist of Pork Tenderloin with Raspberry Sauce, Sweet Green Beans, Loaded Mashed Potatoes, Homemade Dinner Rolls, Spring Mix Salad, Valentine Cheesecake, Tea and Coffee. The Dallam Darlins will hold their monthly club meeting on Thursday, February 4 at 6:30 p.m.(officers meet at 6:00 p.m.) in the 4-H Meeting Room, 4th and Denver(behind the Extension Office). Roll Call will be “Chocolate or Flowers for Valentines Day.” Community Service: Please bring a box of Valentines or at least 25 homemade Valentines. We will take time during our meeting to fill out the Valentines and get them ready to put in a large envelope to mail to CASA kids. The Dalhart Jump & Jam Jump Rope Club will have their last home performance for this season this Friday, February 5th. The performance is scheduled during the Dalhart High School Varsity basketball game halftime at DHS. That same evening is Senior Parent Night at the games and the Jump & Jam team has added some new exciting routines that are sure to get the crowd excited. Friday evening’s performance will warm the stellar jumpers up for their trip to Canyon.
