Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet Tickets are now on sale at the Chamber of Commerce office at 102 E. 7th Street. All tickets are reserved seating. Corporate Tables are still available. The speaker for our banquet this year is Marsha Sharp, Head Coach Emeritus Texas Tech University. She spent 24 years as head coach of the Texas Tech Lady Raiders Basketball team with a career record of 572-189 and led her team to 8 conference championships. The banquet is scheduled for April 20th at the Rita Blanca Coliseum starting at 6:30 p.m. The banquet will also feature local entertainment and the announcement of our Citizen of ... St. Anthony Catholic Church is hosting its monthly open-door Inquiry class for anyone with questions about the Catholic Christian faith this Monday, April 20, at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The Texas Department of State Health Services will hold an immunization clinic on April 21 in Dalhart at 407 ½ Denver St. The clinic will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Laureate Gamma Sorority will meet Tuesday, April 21, at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Pat Forry, 3075 Pioneer Estates, for a regular meeting. Ruby Smith is co-hostess with Forry and will be in charge of the program. |

This funding is used to pay for salaries for teachers and aides that give extra support to students in reading and math during the school year and in summer school. Funds are also used to buy needed supplies and materials to help support both reading and math programs. The 69th Judicial District CSCD will be conducting an Alcohol Education Class for minors on Wednesday April 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 23, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at 412 Denver Ave., Suite 501, Dalhart. This is reminder to all 2009 High School graduates in Dalhart, Hartley, Channing, and Texline. The deadline for turning in the Cleo Jenkins and Bonnie DeJarnett Scholarship application is Friday, April 24, 2009. They can be mailed to the City of Dalhart, P.O. Box 2005, Dalhart, TX 79022 or you may bring them to City Hall, 205 Rock Island. No applications will be accepted after April 24. To be eligible, applicants must have graduated from a high school located in Dallam or Hartley County, have continuously resided in Dallam or Hartley County for the past two years prior to application, and fulfills all requirements as noted ... The youth of First Baptist Church are holding a furniture auction and garage sale to help raise funds for camp scholarships as well as help fund the Dalhart Pregnancy Resource Center (DPRC). The auction/sale will be held at the DPRC located at 402 Denver Avenue. The auction will be a silent auction and both the auction and sale will begin on Friday, April 24, at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 25, at 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Furniture delivery is available.
