The XIT Rangers will be having an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 12, at 2:30 p.m. at the Ranger Clubhouse. Grace Lutheran Church, located at 1311 E 16th St. will have Maundy Thursday Services on Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. with communion. Good Friday Services will be held Friday, April 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran in Boise City, Oklahoma. Easter breakfast, sponsored by Grace LWML, (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League) will be served Easter morning, April 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by Easter Worship Services at 11:00 a.m. |

Students in the 5th grade at Dalhart Intermediate School have been working diligently preparing for a performance entitled, “Sophisticated Silly Songs.” The youngsters, under the direction of Music Teacher Lacey Whitfield, will perform on Thursday, April 16th beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Dalhart High School. Parents, friends and family are encouraged and invited to attend and support all of the children. CASA 69 and the Dalhart Independent School District will be hosting a program on Child Abuse Prevention at the Dalhart High School Auditorium on April 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Brandi Johnson from The Bridge Child Advocacy Center in Amarillo will be conducting this fun, interactive class on the common myths of child abuse, indicators of abuse, when and what to report, and how to talk to your child about abuse. Everyone is invited to come out and support our little league teams. It’s time once again for spring clean up. So, get out your rakes and shovels and take advantage of this one time a year special. As an incentive to those that live in Dalhart, the City landfill will be open from 9 a.m. thru 5 p.m. on two Saturdays, April 18th and 25th. On these two days only, you will be allowed to bring up to a total of 2 bobtail truck loads at the landfill at NO CHARGE, provided that it comes from WITHIN the City limits.
