DES Back to school night and fall parent involvement meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday night, August 19. There will be an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, visit the classrooms and bring school supplies. Parents can also fill out information needed for the lunch program and lunch tickets may be purchased also at this time. The school nurse will have up-to-date immunization information. Parents can also join PTA. This is also the Fall Title I meeting for DES. All parents will be given a copy of the Title I School/ Parent Compact that explains all DES programs and services. Dalhart Elementary ... Students age 3-4 years applying for the Head Start and Pre-Kindergarten programs and new students to DES can register Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. beginning August 2, 2010. You need to bring the student’s shot record, birth certificate and social security number. Proof of income is needed for registration for the Pre-Kindergarten and Head Start programs. Notification that your student has met qualifications for the Pre-Kindergarten and Head Start programs will not be until the week before school starts. All returning DES students will get paperwork on Back to School Night, August 19. |
