The Red Coat Ambassadors of the Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce have planned a grand opening ribbon cutting for Amerese Texas at 220 Denrock on Friday, June 4 at 1:00 p.m. Amerese Texas features an Indoor Archery Range and offers camping and fishing gear, police equipment, paintball equipment and CO2 refills, home drug testing kits and much more. They can fill any sporting equipment needs by special order. They also plan to have an indoor laser shooting range, meeting place, gun smithing and archery customizing in the near future. Following the Ribbon Cutting, owner Rachael Barnes will host an open house all day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 ... Hereford Schools will host a summer tennis tournament on Friday and Saturday, June 4-5 at the Hereford High School tennis courts. Friday is singles competition for junior players with divisions based on players gender and age. Age categories are 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s. A player, for example, who is 13 would participate in the 14s. Participants may only play in one division of singles. Saturday’s play features youth doubles with age categories of 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s and youths of two ages may play together; however, they must compete in the older player’s division.
