August 11th - will be for all returning students to DHS, as well as all 8th graders that finished at DJHS in 2009. Students that will be a Senior or Junior for the 2009/2010 school year need to come register in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Sophomores and Freshmen for the 2009/2010 school year need to register from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Proof of residence is required for all students (this needs to be a current utility bill with the legal guardians name and address), all updated shot records and a legal guardian must be present to complete the registration materials. August 12th – is only for new students to Dalh ... Open Arms Therapy, the new non-profit equine therapeutic riding center in Dalhart, would like to express their appreciation to the community for their generous support. In order to protect this supportive relationship, they ask that all donations be mailed to Open Arms Therapy, 1404 Channing Street, Dalhart, TX 79022, or call Carl Bailey, President at 806-570-1864; Roberta Hollers, Vice President at 806-333-3419; or Betty Fletcher, Treasurer at 806-333-3745 to make arrangements to deliver donations in person or have it picked up in person. Reserved seating football tickets will go on sale to current ticket holders starting Monday, August 3rd, through Friday August 14th. Tickets are available at the Dalhart ISD Central Administration Office, located at the Allyn Finch Building at 701 E. 10th Street. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets not picked up and paid for will go on sale to the public starting Monday, August 17th. Souvenir Rodeo tickets will be available at the Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce, 102 E. 7th Street, AFTER the XIT Rodeo & Reunion at no charge. The Amarillo Social Security Office will be moving to our new location, at 4750 Canyon Dr, starting Wednesday August 12th thru the 14th. We will continue to be open to the public at our present location through Friday August 14th, although our services will be limited. We ask that anyone wanting to apply for retirement or disability benefits during this period would call our toll free number (1-800-772-1213) to schedule an appointment.
