The 73rd Annual XIT Rodeo & Reunion commemorative bolo ties are now available for sale at the Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce, 102 E. 7th Street. Open Arms Therapy, the new non-profit equine therapeutic riding center in Dalhart, would like to express their appreciation to the community for their generous support. In order to protect this supportive relationship, they ask that all donations be mailed to Open Arms Therapy, 1404 Channing Street, Dalhart, TX 79022, or call Carl Bailey, President at 806-570-1864; Roberta Hollers, Vice President at 806-333-3419; or Betty Fletcher, Treasurer at 806-333-3745 to make arrangements to deliver donations in person or have it picked up in person. Please do not hand a donation to anyone other than one of these three individuals. Anyone interested ... Reserved seating football tickets will go on sale to current ticket holders starting Monday, August 3rd, through Friday August 14th. Tickets are available at the Dalhart ISD Central Administration Office, located at the Allyn Finch Building at 701 E. 10th Street. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets not picked up and paid for will go on sale to the public starting Monday, August 17th. The XIT Rodeo and Reunion will be having several amateur events this year including the barrel racing for those 16 years old and older. The wild cow milking for those 18 years old and older and a new event this year is ranch bronc riding for those 18 years old and older.
