A 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will take place on August 1st, for ages 15 and up. July 31st is registration at the ROC from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (must register on or before July 31st). August 1st Tournament begins at the ROC at 8:45 a.m. Pick up your registration form and rules at FBC office any questions, please call Karli Morrison or Nate Harrison at First Baptist Church 1000 East. 16th Street (806) 244-5584. A Baby Shower honoring Trelyn Kamryn will be Saturday, August 1st from 10:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. at the home of Becky Amyx 1720 Apache Drive. Parents of Trelyn are Tisha and Trevor Scott. Hostesses are: Bridgett Nichloson, Christy Przilas, Holly Bierbaum, Tiffany Banks, Stevie Brewer, D’Aun Young, Linda Marshall, Carolyn Field, Suzie Womble, and Becky Amyx. The 73rd Annual XIT Rodeo & Reunion commemorative bolo ties are now available for sale at the Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce, 102 E. 7th Street. Reserved seating football tickets will go on sale to current ticket holders starting Monday, August 3rd, through Friday August 14th. Tickets are available at the Dalhart ISD Central Administration Office, located at the Allyn Finch Building at 701 E. 10th Street. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets not picked up and paid for will go on sale to the public starting Monday, August 17th. The XIT Rodeo and Reunion will be having several amateur events this year including the barrel racing for those 16 years old and older. The wild cow milking for those 18 years old and older and a new event this year is ranch bronc riding for those 18 years old and older. Rodeo Sponsored by JBS Five Rivers Cattle Feeding will be August 1st, at the XIT Rodeo and Reunion Arena. Books open from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Rodeo starts at 10:00 a.m. Age groups are class I (stick horse) 0-6, class II 7-9, class III 10-12 and class IV 13-16. Mutton Bustin will be limited to 5-6 year olds only. Entry forms can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce or off the website at www.xit-rodeo.com . Dress Code will be enforced.
