The 73rd Annual XIT Rodeo & Reunion commemorative bolo ties are now available for sale at the Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce, 102 E. 7th Street. The Red Coat Ambassadors of the Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce have scheduled a Grand Opening ribbon cutting for the 3 J’s Design Studio on Friday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m. at 623 Denrock. Jennifer Van Beek, owner of the 3 J’s Design Studio, invites everyone to come see Dalhart’s newest graphic design and photography studio. Jennifer will be hosting an open house from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Stop by for a tour of the studio and sign up for some great door prizes and special giveaways. The public is invited to this ribbon cutting as the Red Coats welcome this new business to Dalhart. The La Rita Performing Arts Theatre is announcing cast of this summer’s musical melodrama, The Masked Canary. The play will be performed 3 times, Thursday August 6th and Friday, August 7th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 8th at 2:00 p.m. Amanda Goodsort is Kathleen Pollard, Fifi (the French maid) is Robynn Elan, Flora Courtland (society lady) is Nancy Phillips, Peachy Jamm (a girl with no heart) is Tammy Schniederjan, The Judge (who is a scoundrel) is Damon Whaley, Ole Timer (a desert rat) is Jerry Turner, Sidekick (Ole Timer’s partner) is Wade Estes, Lonely Wolf (a Harvard educated Indian) is Andrew Sater, Whitney Pyle is ... It is XIT time again! The deadline for the 73rd XIT parade is Monday, July 27th at 5:00 p.m. Entry forms can be picked up at the Chamber. Cash prizes given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. The Board of Directors would like to extend a special invitation to you to take part in the Saturday morning street parade. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8th. The theme for this year’s Parade is “Wild Rides & Big Dreams.” |
