News Channel 10 out of Amarillo will be in Dalhart for their 2009 Summer Celebration on Thursday, July 23rd. Channel 10 will be broadcasting the 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. news live from the Dallam County Courthouse here in Dalhart with food, fun and prizes for the entire community. Sponsorship opportunities are available that will include TV ads during the 6:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. broadcast and inclusion in the promotion announcements. Treasure hunting for 7 to 9-year-olds will transform trash to treasure in Lynne Bowers class. Nine to 12-year-olds can train their hand at calligraphy, the art of beautiful script, with Paige Davis. (New York, NY) presents john & jen, by Andrew Lippa and Tom Greenwald, Saturday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 12 at 3:00 p.m. in the Dalhart High School Auditorium. The company performed in Dalhart last summer with the play Ravenscroft and Little Women in 2007. john & jen is a two person musical, starring professional actors, Josh Davidson of New York City and Alison Bridget Chambers of New York City (daughter of George and Bonnie Chambers of Dalhart).
