News Channel 10 out of Amarillo will be in Dalhart for their 2009 Summer Celebration on Thursday, July 23rd. Channel 10 will be broadcasting the 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. news live from the Dallam County Courthouse here in Dalhart with food, fun and prizes for the entire community. Sponsorship opportunities are available that will include TV ads during the 6:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. broadcast and inclusion in the promotion announcements. Treasure hunting for 7 to 9-year-olds will transform trash to treasure in Lynne Bowers class. Nine to 12-year-olds can train their hand at calligraphy, the art of beautiful script, with Paige Davis. A benefit dance for Tara Palmer is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 10th at 9:00 p.m. at Texas Lone Star formerly Swayze’s. Tara recently had to have surgery to remove Cervical Cancer. We are trying to raise money to cover medical expenses. Come join us for a night of friends, family, fun and music. There will also be a drawing held for items that have been donated by local businesses. There will be a fee for the dance and a charge for the tickets for the drawing. Quickbooks 2009 for Contractors has just been added to the roster of over 250 instructor-facilitated online classes. This course is designed to teach contractors how to use the Premier Contractor Edition of QuickBooks 2009 in order to meet their unique accounting needs. New sessions of each course run every month.
