News Channel 10 out of Amarillo will be in Dalhart for their 2009 Summer Celebration on Thursday, July 23rd. Channel 10 will be broadcasting the 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. news live from the Dallam County Courthouse here in Dalhart with food, fun and prizes for the entire community. Sponsorship opportunities are available that will include TV ads during the 6:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. broadcast and inclusion in the promotion announcements. Super-charge your visual artist next week at Community Connect Art Camp. For artists age 4 to 6, Anna Casey has planned a fun filled paint class. Treasure hunting for 7 to 9-year-olds will transform trash to treasure in Lynne Bowers class. Nine to 12-year-olds can train their hand at calligraphy, the art of beautiful script, with Paige Davis. All classes meet from 10:00 a.m. to noon, Tuesday-Thursday, July 14-16. Registration is open online at www.dalhartcommunityeducation.org. For more information call 244-7818.
