A Bridal Shower for Amanda Gallegos, bride – elect of Jose Gonzalez is set for Saturday, June 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the 1st Christian Church Fellowship Hall. Hostesses are, Belinda Gallegos, Casmen Gardner, Lindi Banda, Eva Gonzalez, Toni Hopson, Tania Rivas, Camilla Green, Shirley Lewis, Stella Walker, Susan Walker, Tonya Koelzer and Shelby Coleman. Becky Ruppanner and Bethany Thomas of Dalhart will be featured in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The production is the culmination of a week of rehearsals at Broadway Academy of Performing, a musical theatre camp for kids ages 12 – 18. The cast is comprised of campers from Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, New Mexico and Colorado. Joseph will be presented in the Showcase Auditorium at Seward County Community College in Liberal, KS at 2:00 p.m. on June 13th. Broadway Academy of Performing is sponsored by Gypsy Theatre Company, a professional theatre based in New York City, NY. Camp staff includes Alison Bridget Chamber ... The Open Door Sunday School Class of Central United Methodist Church is hosting a going away reception for Clara Murphy and Dorothy Chaloupka on Saturday, June, 13 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Central United Methodist Church. Family and friends of these two longtime residents of Dalhart are invited to attend. Mrs. Murphy also invites those who may not be able to attend the Saturday reception to come by her house on Sunday afternoon, June 14th to visit The women’s group at the Church of the Nazarene will meet on Saturday morning, June 13th at10:00 a.m. The speaker will be Rev. Judi Wiegman who is the author of seven children’s books. She will speak on the challenges of writing. Judi has also written articles for women’s books and devotional books. At the present time she is a reporter for the Dalhart Texan and writes a column for the paper called “Jotting Judi.” Apostolic Fellowship (Jesus Name Church) is holding a revival at 923 Rock Island, on Thursday, June, 11 thru Saturday, June 13. All are welcome, services start at 7:00 p.m. |
