A bridal shower honoring Brittan Beckman, bride-elect of Victor Morales, will be held at the ROC (First Baptist Church) on Saturday, May 9th from 10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. Hostesses for the event are Laura Amaya, Jennifer Bowers, Cindy Bryant, Tracy Coots, Marsha Cunningham, Cindy Dickenson, Rita Garrett, Sue Gomez, Bitsy Jeffers, Jodie Jessop, Kim Kruse, Kelly Richardson, Karen Simpson, Kim Sorrels, Lavetta Trujillo and Anitra Watson. STAR (Services-To-At-Risk Youth & Their Families) UCAP Services is offering a parenting skills class called “Back in Control” in your area. The class will occur on May 9, 2009 from 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM at the ASCI-Dumas facility in Dumas. Participants will receive a certificate and CEUs, if desired. Instructors are, Janice James, MA, QMHP and Bobby Medford, LPC. CEUs available for LPCs & MSWs; General CEUs available, also (Must attend full class for certificate). This is a no charge workshop.
