The XIT Trail of Sales brings together Channing, Hartley, Dalhart and Texline for 75 miles of Yard Sales, Garage Sales, Flea Markets and more. Western art, heaters, clothing, books, and lots of baked goods are just some of the things that will be there! April is Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month. CASA 69 and the Dalhart Independent School District will be hosting a program on Child Abuse Prevention at the Dalhart High School Auditorium on April 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Brandi Johnson from The Bridge Child Advocacy Center in Amarillo will be conducting this fun, interactive class on the common myths of child abuse, indicators of abuse, when and what to report, and how to talk to your child about abuse. Child abuse does happen in Dalhart. Last year there were 66 confirmed victims of abuse or neglect in Dallam and Hartley Counties. One victim is too many. < ... |
