Julie A. Ferraro - Managing Editor

Julie is originally from South Bend, Indiana, where she got her start as a journalist in high school. She came to Texas after spending a few years performing service projects across the country, and most recently served as reporter, photographer and editor at the Killeen Daily Herald and its affiliated papers near Fort Hood. She has four grown sons and six grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys watching old movies and writing fiction.



Bill Kelly - Sports Editor

Bill Kelly is a special ed teacher at Dalhart High School. He is also the PA announcer for Dalhart football, volleyball, basketball, and track. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991, and is originally from Gruver, Texas.



Marlis Scofield - Office Manager

Marlis is a native of the Texas Panhandle, born and raised in Dumas. She has called Dalhart home for the past 25 years. She is married and, together with her husband, has five children and one grandson.

She enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her sweet grand baby.



 Aubrey Thompson Allen - Advertising Manager

Originally from Decatur, Texas, Aubrey moved to the Panhandle in 2013 to attend West Texas A&M University. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in December, 2016, she started work at The Dalhart Texan in April, 2017. She is the proud mother of a sweet baby boy, Oliver. Her hobbies include binge watching Netflix and baking.



 Rhonda Butters - Advertising  Representative

Rhonda and her family came to Texas from Michigan three years ago. She began working at the Dalhart Texan in March, 2018. She has two children, Thorne 17 and Abrielle, 6. Thorne will graduate high school next spring, God willing, and Abrielle just graduated kindergarten. She enjoys reading and taking road trips with her children.



 Cheyenne Black - Graphic Design/Sales

Cheyenne’s family moved to Dalhart in 2003 and she graduated high school in 2010. Two and a half years later, she received an Associate of Science in General Studies degree. In December, 2016 she earned a Bachelors of Arts of Mass Communications in Electronic Media and a minor in Broadcasting Journalism from West Texas A&M University. In her spare time, she loves to read, cook and garden. She also enjoys photography and archery.
