Title: Eta Upsilon Tour of Homes nearing

Celebrating Christmas is one of the most joyous times of year for many people, including myself.  Glistening trees, twinkling lights, and the aroma of warm cinnamon all awaken my soul to the fact that Christmas must be nearing.  The lighting of the cities’ Christmas lights around town reaffirmed that, yes, it truly is almost Christmas time.  Every year even our little panhandle town somehow undergoes a magic transformation into something much similar to where you would find Santa living.  From beautifully decorated homes to festive events, Dalhart is revving up for Christmas.

Every year, some also open their home to share in the Christmas spirit.  Individuals and families open their homes for a charitable cause, allowing the public to tour their own little piece of Christmas.  Each home reflects the owner, their love for Christmas, and their individual style in decorating for the holidays.  The Eta Upsilon Tour of Homes and Bake Sale will be held this year on Saturday, December 12th from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.  The proceeds from this year’s tour will go to Open Arms Equine Therapy.

Featured homes this year include the residence of Tim and Kim Jones, 1702 Southpark; Ty and Adrianne Day, #17 Pheasant Run; Harold and Carla Myers, #22 Canyon View; Susan Clay, 412 Denrock Avenue; Mike and Debra Ford, 1902 Cheyenne Trail; and Troy and Kathleen Lysford, #19 Pheasant Run.  The bake sale will be located at the ROC, 1202 E 16th.

For ticket information, call Stephanie Ellis at 249-5513 or Stacy Miller at 244-5040 .  So take part in something that both celebrates the Christmas season and helps a charitable cause. Join us for the Christmas Tour of Homes. We hope to see you there!
